In Binissalem’s historic centre, Vins Ripoll and its Vi de la Terra de Mallorca wine represents almost a century of family history dedicated to wine. Since 1925, this winery has been combining traditional artisan techniques with modern sustainable methods. A particular highlight is ‘Ses Roques’, its small-production organic range, made from local varieties such as Manto Negro and Prensal Blanc, capturing Mediterranean character in each bottle.
Vins Ripoll began its journey in 1925, when Jaume Ripoll rented an old stone building in Binissalem to produce and distribute wine in bulk. Three generations later, his grandson is leading a venture that honours these roots, but with a clear commitment to organic production and care for the environment. Its wines are part of the Vi de la Terra de Mallorca label.
Its vineyards, located on the outskirts of Binissalem, mostly grow native varieties using manual methods with minimal intervention. The grapes are hand-selected, guaranteeing high-quality wines such as the red ‘Ses Roques’, a crianza made from Manto Negro and Cabernet Sauvignon, and the white ‘Ses Roques’, made from Prensal Blanc. The winery’s old building on Pere Estruch street is testimony to this tradition.
As well as wines, Vins Ripoll produces a craft vermouth and has its own iconic red van that goes to events and fairs, bringing the essence of Mallorca to all four corners of the island.
