Caseta Vella is more than just a winery. It’s a family project that has evolved over time, while keeping in line with the island’s winemaking tradition. Here, grape quality is a priority, with a careful production process that includes hand-picking and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Discover how each grape variety, from the native Manto Negro to the international Chardonnay, brings its own character to their wines, aged in French oak barrels.
Caseta Vella winery has established itself as a key player in the future of the wine industry, while maintaining clear respect for the land and traditions of the island. This family project prioritises grape quality over quantity, discarding some of the grapes before they ripen to ensure that only the best make it to the glass.
Harvesting at Caseta Vella is done by hand, in small boxes to prevent too much pressure on the grapes. The process continues with slowly separating the grapes from their stems to keep them whole and prevent oxidation. Pressing is carried out gently and at low pressures, giving a must of the highest quality, which ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
At Caseta Vella, the wines age patiently in French oak barrels, absorbing the wood’s unique characteristics. The grapes grown include native varieties such as Manto Negro and Prensal Blanc, as well as international varieties such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Viognier. Each one has its own personality, making each wine a different experience.
The wine belongs to the Protected Designation ‘Vi de la Terra de Mallorca’. Caseta Vella invites you on a journey to discover its wine, where every detail counts and tradition is savoured in every glass.
