The history of the Armero i Adrover winery begins with a radical change in the lives of Luis Armero and his wife, who decided to break with monotony in 1988 to start their wine adventure. With just one hectare of family vineyards, they planted three more and, through effort and creativity, learned and perfected their technique in both the field and the winery. In 1992, they founded their own winery, and today, their white, rosé and red wines are among the best in Mallorca. Here, the smallest details and constant experimentation are the key to success.
At the Armero i Adrover winery, each wine tells a story of dedication and passion. Luis Armero and his wife, pioneers in Mallorcan winemaking, began their adventure in 1988 with four hectares of vineyards. Since then, they have perfected their art by creating wines with a minimum of 50% native grape variety, embodying the essence of the island.
Luis describes his work as ‘patient cultivation’, paying attention to every detail and learning from every challenge. The wine belongs to the Vi de la Terra de Mallorca, as well as the Pla de Llevant PDO. The winery’s winemaking process is meticulous and respectful of tradition.
White wines are pressed and lightly macerated before controlled fermentation, while red wines undergo a careful process of destemming and maceration in stainless steel tanks. Each tank is designed to maintain the optimum temperature, ensuring the best quality in every drop of wine.
The grape harvest at Armero i Adrover is a highlight. In mid-August, the winery prepares to harvest the grapes in perforated plastic crates, so as to keep the fruit whole. Each plot and variety is harvested by hand at the perfect moment, when the grapes are at their ideal ripeness. Their thorough, devoted approach makes every bottle of Armero i Adrover a real Mallorcan gem.
