Brothers Josep and Rafel Vidal, third-generation winemakers, have overcome the challenges of the pandemic to proudly launch their first wines. Located in Santa Eugènia, this small Mallorcan winery works with 25 hectares of vineyards that grow varieties such as Callet, Manto Negro, Syrah and more. Their dedication and traditional techniques ensure a quality product, always honouring the family heritage.
Bodega Vidal, located in the charming municipality of Santa Eugènia, is part of the ‘Vi de la Terra Mallorca’ quality label. With vineyards in Santa Eugènia, Santa Maria, Sencelles and Consell, the Vidal brothers grow native and classic varieties such as Callet, Manto Negro, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, among others.
This family project continues the legacy of their ancestors, who dedicated themselves to planting and caring for these lands. The Vidal brothers decided to set up their winery in honour of this tradition, representing the third generation of winegrowers who have kept the history and love for winegrowing alive. In their small yet passionate winery, they use traditional methods with stainless steel tanks with a total capacity of 10,000 litres. So far, they have launched two wines on the market: a white and a rosé. They are currently working on a red wine that is still resting in barrels, promising future delights.
Their wines are mainly distributed to restaurants and the local market in the Balearic Islands. Despite the difficult times, their objective is clear: to move forward firmly and decidedly, making constant improvements to offer a top-quality product from vineyard to bottle, without losing sight of the traditions that have brought them this far.
