Celler de Petra

Traditional Flavours from a 19th-Century Wine Cellar in Petra

Located in Petra, Es Celler de Petra is more than just a restaurant: it is a journey into Mallorca's culinary past. This old 19th-century wine cellar offers a unique experience with traditional dishes such as arròs brut, snails with aioli and roast suckling pig. With vaulted ceilings and age-old recipes, every visit honours authentic Mallorcan cuisine.

In the centre of Petra, a charming village in inland Mallorca, Es Celler de Petra is steeped in centuries of history and tradition. Built in the mid-19th century as a wine cellar, this space was turned into a restaurant dedicated to recovering the most authentic flavours of the island. With vaulted ceilings and a rustic atmosphere, every detail evokes a feeling of the past.

The menu includes classic Mallorcan dishes, such as the vegetable dish tombet, snails with aioli, and roast meats, especially suckling pig and lamb shoulder. Diners can also enjoy grilled meats, such as steak and rabbit, prepared with the same tender loving care as their traditional dishes.

Finally, homemade desserts such as their traditional almond cake, gató, or ensaïmada pudding, round off an exceptional dining experience. At Es Celler de Petra, time seems to have stopped still, making it the perfect place to enjoy food that honours the history and soul of Mallorca.
