The Taste of Menorca from a Traditional Lloc: Es Capell de Ferro
Maria Tudurí has breathed new life into Es Capell de Ferro, a Menorcan lloc (farm), by dedicating it to organic production involving livestock, fruit and vegetables, and home cooking. On her farm she produces pork sausages, cuts of beef, vegetables, fruit and preserves. Customers can buy straight from the farm, get weekly deliveries and do activities to learn about the true source of the food.
At Es Capell de Ferro, Maria Tudurí is committed to a model of self-sufficiency and responsibility: she adjusts the number of animals to the farm’s capacity and prioritises selling directly to the consumer. Her organic products, including preserves, sausages, fruit and vegetables, are available for home delivery in several villages in Menorca. She also offers custom hampers and hosts afternoon tea with homemade snacks, cooking workshops and walks around the estate.
Flavourful produce and contact with the land give meaning to a way of life that respects nature’s rhythms and strengthens the connection between farmer and consumer. A real experience combining tradition with the future in every bite.
