Hiper Centro's Commitment to Local Produce: Guaranteed Origin and Quality
Since 1985, Hiper Centro has backed local Balearic produce, ensuring it goes into every one of its products. Its range of sausages includes Sobrassada de Mallorca with a Protected Geographical Indication (IGP), made from selected pork meat. With their own butchery and production room, it oversees the entire process to offer an authentic product with guaranteed local quality in every bite.
Hiper Centro is one of the biggest supporters of local produce. At its butcher shops, the IGP Sobrassada is the leading product, available in sweet, spicy and spicy poltrú varieties. Other traditional sausages such as llonganissa and botifarró are also available.
Its commitment to a circular economy and sustainability is clear from its involvement in the 'D'aquí' project, which promotes zero-mile food. Over 55% of its meat and 73% of its fruit and vegetables come from the Balearic Islands, showing support for local producers and guaranteeing fresh produce in all its shops.
