Mel Caramel, the Taste of Hope and the Colour of Passion
Mel Caramel is a small Mallorcan company specialising in high quality organic honey. Their ethical, sustainable beekeeping has earned them more than a dozen medals in international competitions such as Biolmiel. Through small-scale production and respectful harvesting, each type of honey reflects the island’s biodiversity.
From Pollença to Banyalbufar, Mel Caramel’s beehives are spread throughout the stunning landscape of Mallorca. Far from intensive agriculture, the hives buzz among holm oaks, heather, carob trees and steppes, resulting in organic honey with its own personality. The business, run by Martí Mascaró, combines beekeeping with a passion for the environment.
Production is small, but every drop is cared for: no pesticides, a lot of patience and the high standard required for organic certification. Their work has been recognised with more than 20 Biolmiel medals. Mel Caramel also offers beekeeping tourism in Son Alzines, where you can discover the world of bees in the heart of the Tramuntana Mountains. A sensory journey to the heart of Mallorcan honey.
