A Winemaking Legacy Spanning Over a Century at Pere Seda Winery
For over 100 years, Vinyes i Bodegues Pere Seda has brought innovation to a family tradition to make high-quality wine. Located in Manacor, this winery, founder of the DO Pla i Llevant label, runs 54 hectares of its own vineyards, practising sustainable winegrowing that relays the Mediterranean climate and the region's chalky soils.
With its roots in Pla de Mallorca, Pere Seda has evolved to become one of the most significant wineries within the DO Pla i Llevant label. Since its origins, it has upheld an ethos of environmental respect while working with modern winemaking techniques. This ensures holistic production that highlights the authenticity of local grape varieties such as Callet and Manto Negro, together with international varieties such as Merlot and Chardonnay.
The winery also sets high standards of sustainability: solar panels and an advanced waste management system are part of its commitment to eco-friendly practices. Its facilities are also open to the public, meaning visitors can learn about the winemaking process and try iconic wines such as ‘Mossèn Alcover’ and ‘Es secret d'en Perico’.
