Ca'n Fumat: Traditional Winemaking Under the DO Binissalem Label
Ca'n Fumat has embodied Binissalem's winemaking tradition since the 19th century. At this family winery, native varieties such as Manto Negro, Callet and Moll take centre stage. With vineyards in Can Caleu, Sa Quarterada and Es Verger, wine is made with respect for the environment, appreciated for its small craft production.
In Binissalem, Ca'n Fumat keeps age-old heritage alive. From the red clay at Can Caleu, ideal for Manto Negro, to the white soil at Sa Quarterada, where fresh Moll grows, each vineyard brings a distinct personality to its wines.
The winery is committed to local varieties that evoke the richness of Mallorca’s landscape. From Maisurt, an innovative white; Xalest, a varietal rosé made with Callet; to Negre, a blend of Manto Negro and Syrah, each bottle finds the perfect balance between tradition and technique.
Respect for the environment guides every stage of the process. Hand-harvesting and ageing in French oak barrels make this small production truly authentic, taking the Binissalem label to new heights.
