The Sbert family has turned their farm in Felanitx into a rural haven, where snails are raised with care and vegetables are grown traditionally. At Son Pou you can buy fresh produce or enjoy an authentic dining experience, with tastings that pay tribute to the most authentic Mallorcan food.
In winter, snails. In summer, freshly picked tomatoes and peppers. At Son Pou, nature’s calendar is in charge. This small family farm in Felanitx is committed to direct sales, homemade food and friendly service. The farm breeds Bover snails naturally, without chemicals, based on all the traditional knowledge of the Sbert family.
A visit to this farm is a real experience. If you book in advance, you can try three different snail dishes: boiled with herbs, baked or bolognese. All served with coca bread, bunyols (fritters) and local wine. A rustic meal surrounded by fields of vegetables, with a view of the greenhouse where the snails grow.
Son Pou offers not just a quality local product, but also a way of understanding the Mallorcan countryside. Those who visit come back for the flavour and service: personal, friendly and authentic. Evidence that the countryside, when well looked after, still has a lot to offer.
