A Celebration of Colours at Son Bollaix Petit Farm
At Son Bollaix Petit farm, Rafel Dalmau grows organic vegetables with the help of Olaf, a Hispano-Bretón horse. He uses manual tools and modern animal haulage, avoiding heavy machinery and respecting the soil. He produces on a small scale and distributes to Mercat de Felanitx and consumer groups.
Rafel Dalmau’s business responds to the need for coherence: growing without chemicals, without engines, and without hierarchies. At Son Bollaix Petit, he works with modern animal haulage, uses composted manure, promotes biodiversity and minimises the impact on the soil. He produces a range of organic vegetables using water-saving techniques, renewable energy and plastic-free packaging.
He’s also a member of the Mallorca Organic Farming Cooperative and supplies consumer groups such as Agrohoritzontal, who are involved in crop planning and decision-making. His model prioritises autonomy, human contact and a direct relationship between producer and consumer. Beyond efficiency, Son Bollaix Petit is committed to a way of life that questions the current production system and advocates for a fairer, calmer, more fertile alternative.
