At Hort de Ca'n Gran, they work the land as they did in old times: without chemicals, with patience and committed to offering 100% organic products. From carrots to Ramellet tomatoes, this farm in Santa Maria del Camí supplies markets with an explosion of colour, flavour and Mallorcan tradition.
S'Hort de Ca'n Gran is a small organic farm located in Santa Maria del Camí that has been filling the markets of Mallorca with flavour and colour for years. Their seasonal vegetables—carrots, onions, cabbages, peppers, aubergines and tomatoes—are the result of working the land respectfully and local varieties that are part of the island’s farming heritage.
One of its best crops is the Ramellet tomato, a typical Mallorcan variety ideal for pa amb oli, or the Fesol Fava, a mild and tasty broad bean that has been cultivated for generations. They also offer fruit such as figs, melons and lemons, as well as natural preserves ready to provide the taste of the countryside all year round.
Their production, 100% grown on their farm certified organic, can be found every Tuesday and Saturday in Palma’s Plaza de los Patines. A must for those who value local, healthy, traditional food.
