A Sea of Olive Trees in the Olive-Growing Heart of Felanitx
Son Mesquidassa, with more than 150,000 olive trees and modern facilities, is the largest farm in Mallorca dedicated to making extra virgin olive oil under the DOP Oli de Mallorca label. Located in Felanitx, between the Tramuntana mountains and the sea, this estate combines sustainability and advanced technology with a deep respect for tradition.
Son Mesquidassa’s immense olive groves represent a commitment to excellence and sustainability. With 100 hectares of land and varieties such as Arbequina, Arbosana and Koroneiki, the farm produces up to 200,000 litres of extra virgin olive oil per year, protected under the DOP Oli de Mallorca label. The mill, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, ensures quick, efficient processing while preserving all the oil’s aromas and nuances. From machine harvesting that avoids contact with the ground, to controlled atmosphere storage, each step prioritises quality and authenticity.
Beyond olive oil production, Son Mesquidassa offers guided tours, tastings and unique experiences, including a train ride through its olive groves. This place has become a benchmark not only for olive farming, but also for tourism and culture, bringing Mallorcan tradition together with modernity in an outstanding setting.
