Artisan Cheese and Local Products from Sant Joan de Missa
Sant Joan Gran, a farm on the road to Macarella near Sant Joan de Missa, makes DOP Mahón-Menorca cheese from raw cow's milk. It also offers fruit, seasonal vegetables and free-range eggs. Their products are available at the farm, at the Ciutadella market, and through home delivery.
Sant Joan Gran cheese factory, located in a wonderful setting in Ciutadella, makes DOP Mahón-Menorca cheese from raw cow's milk. This artisan cheese, cured naturally, retains the traditional flavour and aroma thanks to the local pastures and the Menorcan climate.
Sant Joan Gran also offers fresh produce from its vegetable garden, free-range eggs and artisan sausages made using only sustainable practices. You can buy their products directly from the farm, at the market in Plaça d'Es Peix in Ciutadella (Saturdays,10am to 2pm) or through home delivery.
The farm, located in a setting with archaeological and ethnological remains, is all about tradition and authenticity, offering products that capture the true spirit of the Menorcan countryside.
