The Mercat des Peix (Fish Market) in Maó, open from Monday to Saturday, combines its traditional fish market with a bustling food market every Tuesday to Saturday from 7am to 2pm. Here, visitors and locals enjoy tapas, wine and typical Menorcan products in a vibrant atmosphere, perfect for an afternoon of drinks and tapas. Built in 1927, the Mercat des Peix is one of the island’s top food markets. Inside, there are stalls offering fresh fish and seafood, while its food court offers a taste of Mahón cheese, cured sausages, craft beers and Menorcan wines.
Beyond a market, this space is a great meeting spot where events, concerts and tastings are held, creating a unique atmosphere, especially in summer.
