Son Menut: A Farmhouse with Rustic Soul
In the rural heart of Mallorca, Son Menut brings together three passions: the land, horses and local cuisine. This family estate in Felanitx has evolved from a breeding farm to a farm-stay with a riding school, a restaurant serving zero-mile food, a vineyard and Dexter cattle breeding. A Mallorcan experience to delight all your senses.
At Son Menut, everything is about the countryside and horses. Founded in 1993 by the Barceló family, this project has grown into an estate offering accommodation, seasonal cuisine, horse riding and activities for children. Pilar Barceló, part of the second generation at the helm, defines it as ‘an experience of the Mallorcan countryside 2.0’.
The restaurant serves organic beef from its Dexter cattle and vegetables grown on the farm. The estate has also been producing Merlot and Muscat wines since 2001. Their shop offers direct sales of fresh food under the ‘Venda Directa’ label. Sustainably managed since the very beginning, Son Menut has solar panels, rainwater collection systems and horse-riding courses.
Perfect for countryside getaways, celebrations or a dining experience overlooking the vineyards. And for the little ones, their school and classes offer an introduction to horses and life on the farm. An estate that captures Mallorca’s rural charm with a modern approach.
