Son Alegre is an estate located in Calonge, Mallorca, dedicated to winegrowing and making extra virgin olive oil. With an organic and biodynamic approach, they grow grapes, olives and xeixa wheat without disturbing the soil’s natural balance. Their wines reflect the landscape and philosophy that brings them to life.
At Vinya Son Alegre, farming is seen as a conscious act. Since 2002, they’ve been growing grapevines, olives and grains according to organic and biodynamic principles, without ploughing the land or using pesticides. Their aim is to protect life in the soil and work in symbiosis with nature. They produce white, rosé and red wines, the first in the Santanyí region in over a century.
They also make Sileo extra virgin olive oil, 100% organic and vegan. They offer tastings at the vineyard with pairings of local products, led by their sommelier. The experience includes a walk, an explanation of the cultivation process and a complete tasting at the estate, located opposite the winery. More than just a vineyard, Son Alegre is a livelihood that honours rural legacy and believes in winegrowing that cares, regenerates and brings excitement.
