Sànima Herbs: Cultivating Wellbeing in Ibiza
Sànima Herbs was born in the north of Ibiza as an organic farming project with a social purpose. They grow and handcraft infusions, spices and incense from aromatic herbs and medicinal plants, under principles of permaculture, biodynamics and regenerative farming. Sànima Herbs is a sensory experience that connects earth, body and consciousness.
At Can Joan Carreró, an old estate, Sànima is in bloom: a garden open to visitors and a living workshop where more than 40 species of plants are grown. Laia Ribes has been driving this venture since 2017, putting sustainability, vitality and botanical knowledge into every product. Their organic herbal teas, such as Calma, Hierba Luisa and Armonía Mediterránea, are handcrafted and synchronised with the moon’s cycles. A biodiverse environment is turned into aromas, flavours and remedies that nourish both inside and out.
Beyond production, Sànima offers hands-on workshops like their San Juan herbal liqueur workshop, as well as guided tours of the botanical garden. Ancient knowledge and innovation go hand in hand to offer products of high quality, both physically and in terms of energy. Sànima not only cultivates the land, but also community. Through a vision of social entrepreneurship in the countryside, they work with people at risk of exclusion, revive disused land and promote farming that heals, nourishes and transforms.
