Es Nostro Camp is the result of Vicent Guasch’s desire to go back to his roots in Sant Llorenç, Ibiza. What started as a small trial with a few hens has become the largest organic egg business on the island. With two farms, around 2,000 hens and a philosophy of respect for animals and the environment, they now supply a large part of the local market.
Every morning, around 11 o’clock, the doors of the coop are opened and the hens at Es Nostro Camp go out to enjoy the day among lemon and orange trees. In the evening, they take themselves back to shelter. The farm works based on circularity: the birds feed the soil, and the soil feeds them back, supplemented with organic feed.
The process is artisanal and local, and the man behind it all not only looks out for the animals’ welfare, but also delivers the eggs himself, maintaining direct contact with the island’s businesses. The business promotes local consumption, boosts the primary sector and helps to protect Ibiza’s landscape.
The eggs can be found in organic shops, markets and supermarkets across Ibiza. They are also served in iconic local dishes, such as the lobster with fried eggs at Pou d'es Lleó restaurant. Fresh, healthy products with a rural soul.
