Picarandau

Mallorcan Olive Oil with a Green Soul and Protected Designation of Origin

Picarandau farm in Son Ferriol, Mallorca, turns love for the land and birds into organic extra virgin olive oil with a designation of origin. Artisanal production committed to biodiversity, sensory quality and social responsibility, where every drop tells a story of sustainability.

Since 2005, brothers Joan and Martí Mayol have been cultivating 2,800 olive trees under strict organic conditions. Their Verderol olive oil—a name inspired by the Roman oleum viride and their love for birds—is the result of an early harvest and a blend of Arbequina, Picual and Empeltre olives. Its profile: delicate, with mild bitter notes and a hint of spice.

Picarandau goes beyond olive farming by promoting habitats for beneficial wildlife, recycling surpluses, using efficient irrigation and working with social organisations. They also offer guided tours and tastings, providing a sensory experience of the land.

The olive oil is sold in glass, cartons, cans or recyclable materials, available online, in specialist shops and directly on the farm. Commitment to regenerative farming and ecology isn’t a strategy, but a way of life. Picarandau’s philosophy comes through in every product: ‘soft as a feather and lively as a bird’.
