Oli Almas Bartomeu Alou Julià

Oli de Mallorca, Rooted in Felanitx

In the peaceful countryside of S'Horta, Bartomeu Alou Julià continues a centuries-old tradition: the production of extra virgin olive oil under the ‘DOP Oli de Mallorca’ label. His farm, set among olive trees sculpted by time, produces olive oil that encapsulates the character of the island.

The olive tree is central to Mallorca’s identity. In the fields, the wind draws the silhouettes of twisted trees that have offered their fruit for centuries. In S'Horta, a small village in the municipality of Felanitx, Bartomeu Alou Julià takes this heritage and turns it into extra virgin olive oil under the ‘DOP Oli de Mallorca’ label. A product tied to the land, made entirely on the island and bottled with the ‘Consell Regulador’ quality seal.

On his farm, production follows the pace of nature. The olives are harvested at the prime moment and processed using traditional methods to preserve their aromas, flavour and properties. The result is a balanced oil, with green nuances and bitter notes, ideal for local dishes such as trempó or pa amb oli. S'Horta, with its stone houses and fields looking over the sea, remains the agricultural heart of the island. Here, olive oil is not simply food: it’s the landscape, history and culture.
