Es Convent: Eggs, Olive Oil and a Social Purpose
Es Convent doesn’t just grow organic produce: it grows opportunities. This venture, linked to the organisation Mater Misericordiae, combines respect for the land with the social and professional inclusion of people with intellectual disability. Free-range eggs and organic extra virgin olive oil are produced on their farm in Llubí, offering quality, commitment and flavour.
Ses Oliveres d'Es Convent estate, in the heart of Llubí, is home to more than 1,500 olive trees and over 600 free-range hens. Two leading products are born from this serene, fertile landscape: organic extra virgin olive oil, made from Arbequina and Picual olives, and eggs from hens fed 100% naturally.
Production is small-scale, handmade and meticulous. The products are packaged one by one, with labels added by hand by the users of the Mater Misericordiae occupational centre, who are involved in farming, gardening and maintenance work on the farm.
Beyond taste, Es Convent products represent a model of responsible consumption: organic, local and with a social impact. By buying their olive oil or eggs, you’re supporting decent employment, inclusion and sustainability.
They can be purchased at the Llubí estate, at the occupational centre in Palma or in Sineu. And while stock may sometimes run out, what’s never lacking is the value behind every bottle and every egg.
