Regenerative Farming and Local Flavours of Ibiza at Ca'n Fontet
Ca'n Fontet is an organic farm in Ibiza dedicated to sustainably growing fruit, vegetables and aromatic herbs. Certified by the Balearic Council for Organic Farming (CBPAE), they rely on local varieties and farming techniques that enrich the soil without synthetic chemicals. Maribel and Fina, who run the farm, combine tradition with innovation to breathe new life into the Ibizan countryside.
Located in Ibiza, Ca'n Fontet is much more than an organic farm: it’s a venture centred around reviving agriculture and local production. Using sustainable methods, they grow local varieties of seasonal vegetables and grains. They also farm local animal breeds such as the Ibizan hen and the black pig, protecting the island’s biodiversity and farming heritage.
Ca'n Fontet use their own resources for fertilization such as green manure, pruning waste and animal manure, ensuring a regenerative production cycle. Thanks to their commitment to sustainability and quality, every week they bring the best of the Ibizan countryside to the Mercat de Sa Cooperativa in Sant Antoni, where they offer direct sales of their fresh, zero-mile produce.
