Pollença Raises a Glass with the Island’s Best Wines at the Fira del Vi
Every year, the Sant Domingo Cloister in Pollença hosts the Fira del Vi (Wine Fair), a key event for wine lovers and experts. With around 40 wineries taking part, the fair offers the chance to try more than 250 Designation of Origin wines from Mallorca, and to discover DO Montsant wines. Over one weekend, fair-goers can taste wine, learn from winemakers and immerse themselves in the island's wine culture in a unique setting.
Since opening in 2004, the Fira del Vi in Pollença has become the leading wine fair in Mallorca. Set up in the spectacular Sant Domingo Cloister, fair-goers can browse the stands of local wineries and taste a wide selection of wines from the DO Pla i Llevant, DO Binissalem and IGP Vi de la Terra Mallorca labels.
As well as tastings, the fair offers a festive atmosphere with live music and meet-and-greets with industry experts. Guests are given a notebook to write down their opinions of the wines, and the ticket includes a discount on bottles purchased.
With every detail meticulously planned and a backdrop that adds to the experience, the Fira del Vi has become a must for those seeking to discover and enjoy the unique character of Mallorcan wines.
