Tour the vineyards of Es Gallicant and learn about the vine cycle, the native varieties and the work of the winegrower. Learn how the landscape and red earth ("Call Vermell") influence the quality of the wines and sparkling wines that are made with passion and traditional techniques in this family-run winery.
Es Gallicant is a family winery in Mallorca that combines tradition and recovery of native varieties such as the white wine "Giro Ros". During the guided tour you will learn about the history of the estate, inherited by the family, and you will tour the vineyards planted in unique red soils, where native and French grapes (Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon) are grown. Harvesting is done manually to ensure the highest quality. In addition, the winery produces sparkling wines and maintains a small flock of sheep that helps to take care of the vineyards in an ecological way. The experience allows you to understand the relationship between the agricultural landscape, biodiversity and wine production, with the possibility of tasting some of the wines made by hand. Currently, the winery is working to achieve organic certification and has approximately one hectare of vineyards, expanding every year to recover varieties and offer quality wines that reflect the essence of Mallorca.
