Pescaturismo turns a day at sea into a transformative experience. Based in the Balearic Islands, this pioneering initiative allows you to sail with traditional fishermen as they work, discover secret coves, spot dolphins, learn fishing techniques and taste freshly caught fish. This is sailing tourism with a real impact.
The day begins with an early start. Aboard professional boats ranging from 8 to 25 metres long, guests can sail alongside people who know the Mediterranean inside out. Many of these excursions offer the chance to enjoy the fish of the day served on board, freshly caught from the sea. Others let you fish for yourself, following the traditional Mallorcan fluixa system.
Pescaturismo is a national network based in Mallorca that promotes the blue economy, advises ministries, promotes professional training and has received awards from FITUR, the Balearic Government and Tripadvisor for its sustainable approach. From a range of different ports, travellers can explore the sea in a different way.
