Visit a traditional market and behold Ibiza's architectural gems
Santa Eulària des Riu invites you to take a walk. Some of its must-sees include the promenade and the majestic Puig de Missa fortified church. After the walk, there’s nothing better than stopping at Es Mercat de Santa Eulària where you can find local produce and delicious Ibizan pastries.
Santa Eulària des Riu stands out as a jewel with its own personality in Ibiza. The Paseo Marítimo and Paseo S'Alamera offer an excellent coastal walk and stroll through the town centre. Climbing up to Puig de Missa to witness its impressive architectural ensemble is also a fantastic experience. There we find the 16th-century fortified church that overlooks the town. In the surrounding area, the Ethnographic Museum of Ibiza (Can Ros) tells you about traditional life on the island in an old farmhouse.
To get to know Santa Eulària a little better, the best place to finish off is 'Es Mercat'. This traditional market is a feast for the senses with its butchers, greengrocers and gourmet shops, where Ibizan desserts such as flaó and greixonera stand out, as well as fresh fish caught in local waters.
Another great way to enjoy the local cuisine in Santa Eulària is to stop at Ca Na Ribes. Founded in 1926, it’s probably the oldest restaurant on the island that’s still going. It offers a varied menu with a variety of traditional Ibizan dishes.
