Can Musón offers spectacular cooking workshops, where participants can learn how to prepare traditional Ibizan products using organic ingredients grown on the farm itself.
At Can Musón, an organic farm in Ibiza, visitors can discover the island's traditional cuisine through its hands-on workshops. Founded in 2009 by María Marí, Can Musón has become a leader in sustainability and protecting Ibiza’s customs. The workshops allow children and adults to make classic food such as flaó (cheesecake), pan payés (farmhouse bread) and goat's cheese using techniques handed down through generations.
Each workshop begins with a guided tour of the farm, where participants can meet native animals and get a close-up look at the organic crops. In the flaó workshop, participants learn how to prepare this traditional cake with ingredients such as mint and goat's cheese, following the medieval recipes that are still going strong on the island.
The pan payés workshop involves kneading and baking this unsalted bread, characterised by its soft and spongy middle, while the goat's cheese workshop lets you get involved in the whole process, from milking to pressing the cheese.
Can Musón not only aims to teach cooking techniques, but to raise awareness of the importance of keeping Ibiza's culture and cuisine alive. Taking part in these workshops is a way to reconnect with nature and take home a little piece of the real Ibiza.
