Farm herbs and tasting of Café Caleta

Workshop on the elaboration of peasant herbs with a final tasting of Café Caleta, between culture and island hospitality.

Take part in a workshop at Fluxà Ibiza where you will learn how to make peasant herbs, discovering 18 aromatic plants and the traditional maceration process. The experience ends with the tasting of Café Caleta accompanied by homemade fritters, while you learn the secrets of Ibizan culture and hospitality.

The Fluxà Ibiza farmhouse herbs workshop begins with a talk by Joan Tur about his craft project and the botanical garden, explaining the choice of traditional methods over industrial production. Participants then tour the garden to collect the 18 aromatic plants that they will use in making their own bottle of herbs. Equipped with gloves, scissors and baskets, they will learn about the botanical and peasant properties of each plant, and how to combine them correctly during the maceration process. After completing the bottle with the help of the "fura" and adding the special anise, we proceed to the tasting of herbs and Café Caleta accompanied by homemade fritters. At the end, each participant receives a diploma and the recipes for both preparations. The activity lasts approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes, with a maximum of 30 people per workshop, and the price includes all materials and a donation of 1 euro to the NGO Juntos.
