The Legacy of Ramanyà: Wine and Ethnography in Mallorca
In the winegrowing area of Santa Maria del Camí, Bodega Ramanyà combines family passion with cultural heritage. Since 2003, it has been making young, sparkling and crianza wines under the Vi de la Terra Illes Balears label, relaying the character of native Mallorcan varieties. Its ethnographic collection, with more than 3,000 pieces, connects the past with the present in a space that doubles as a wine cellar and museum.
Bodega Ramanyà is a tribute to Mallorca’s landscape and history. Located in the area of Coscois, it produces young, sparkling and crianza wines under the Vi de la Terra Illes Balears label. With varieties such as Manto Negro and Prensal Blanc, their wines truly reflect the island. Among them, its sparkling rosé has been deemed a pioneer in Mallorca.
But Ramanyà is not just about wine. The Ramis family has collected more than 3,000 historical tools and objects that tell the story of the island's ancient trades. Every visit to this private museum is a tour of culture, where wine barrels share the same space as carts, forges and 19th-century utensils. The winery also stands out for its wine tourism.
Tastings are offered in rooms decorated with antiques, creating a unique experience, fuelled by the passion of a family dedicated to both wine and preserving Mallorca's cultural heritage.
