A Walk Through History and Local Atmosphere Every Sunday in Felanitx
Every Sunday, from 9am to 2pm, Felanitx Market fills the squares and streets of the centre with a wide variety of products. Fresh fruit and vegetables, cured sausages, cheese, pottery, clothing and gift items are all on offer at this market, one of the busiest in the southeast of Mallorca. There’s also the indoor Municipal Market, open from Tuesday to Sunday, offering fresh produce throughout the week.
Mercat de Felanitx, a market held every Sunday in the squares of Plaça Espanya, Plaça Pax, Plaça Rei Jaume II and neighbouring streets, is a top gathering place for locals and visitors alike. Its large number of stalls offer everything from fresh produce such as cheese, cured sausages, honey and local wines, to fabrics, pottery and plants. Its lively atmosphere and traditional character make it one of the most popular markets in the southeast of Mallorca.
Felanitx Municipal Market, located beside the traditional market in Plaça Constitució, is open from Tuesday to Sunday with stalls selling meat, fish, fruit, vegetables and a café where you can soak up the local atmosphere.
Felanitx’s rich history and proximity to the coast make it the perfect place to combine a morning of shopping with a visit to the Church of Sant Miquel, Santueri Castle or Sant Salvador Monastery. Portocolom and Cala Marçal are also just a few kilometres away, perfect for rounding off a day on the island.
