Miquel Oliver, A Century-Old Winery in Pla de Mallorca
In Petra, Vinyes i Bodegues Miquel Oliver creates Mallorcan wine by fusing the past with the future. With ancient roots and modern facilities surrounded by vineyards, this winery makes whites, rosés and reds under the DO Pla i Llevant label. Each glass reflects artisan care, respect for the environment and the heart of Pla de Mallorca.
Founded over a century ago, Vinyes i Bodegues Miquel Oliver combines tradition and technology to make wines that tell a unique story. The old winery in the centre of Petra retains its original architectural beauty, while the modern facilities on the outskirts have optimised the winemaking process, from the hand-picking of grapes to barrel ageing. In all 12 of its labels, including the classic ‘1912’ and the more recent ‘365/24’, the winery manages to embody Pla de Mallorca.
The characteristic red soil known as call vermell, together with the Mediterranean climate, add unique nuances to the wines, which are renowned for their quality.
Visitors can enjoy an immersive tour of the winery, from the ancient vaults to the vineyards, complete with wine tastings and food that exudes the culture and flavour of Mallorca. Beyond a winery, Miquel Oliver is an invitation to discover the magic of possibility.
