Microceller Son Crespí

Passion and Craft: The History of Son Crespí in Every Harvest

Microceller Son Crespí is passion in the shape of wine. This personal initiative by Pere Crespí, an agricultural engineer and oenologist, and Neus Beltrán, a biologist, focuses on producing handcrafted organic wines. Located on the historical Son Crespí de Passatemps estate, the winery grows local varieties using sustainable techniques that respect the winegrowing tradition of Mallorca and the environment.

Set in the picturesque Raiguer area of Mallorca, the Son Crespí estate offers wine lovers a unique experience. Featuring spectacular views of the Tramuntana Mountains and a privileged terroir, this family winery makes wines that reflect the essence of the land of Mallorca.

In 2000, Pere Crespí Calafat, following family tradition, decided to go back to growing native varieties and to embrace organic farming, thus ensuring the preservation of biodiversity and the soil quality. Each stage of the winemaking process, from pruning to labelling, is done by hand, thus earning the winery the Charter of Master Craftsman granted by the Consell de Mallorca. Each bottle is handled with the utmost care to ensure exceptional quality, as a reflection of the commitment and dedication of its creators. All these wines bear the ‘Vi de la Terra Mallorca’ quality seal.

The philosophy at Microceller Son Crespí revolves around sustainability and environmental friendliness. Renewable energy is used and local varieties are grown without irrigation, minimising water consumption. Furthermore, biodiversity on the estate is preserved by growing Mediterranean plants such as wild olive, almond and carob trees, thus helping maintain a healthy, balanced ecosystem. Enjoy a wine experience that combines tradition, craft and sustainability in the heart of Mallorca.
