Cultural Heritage in Every Glass
Cap Andritxol winery sits among vineyards that stretch out under the Mediterranean sun. Founded by wine enthusiasts who were impressed by the climate and quality of the local grapes, this winery brings tradition and modernity together in every bottle. From its humble beginnings to the reputable winery that it is today, Cap Andritxol has grown thanks to its commitment to excellence, collaborating with local producers and cultivating its own vineyards. With three lines of wine designed to amaze and delight, this winery has become a benchmark for wine tourism in Mallorca.
Upon arrival in Mallorca, the founders of Cap Andritxol were left amazed by the vineyards and perfect climate for winegrowing. With a firm commitment to quality, they began by making a small amount of wine for their own enjoyment. Yet the demand for their traditional wines grew, and so in 2016 the Sencelles winery was born, boasting modern facilities and 7 hectares of clay-limestone land, known as call vermell for its distinctive reddish colour.
The wine belongs to the Protected Designation ‘Vi de la Terra de Mallorca’. The name Cap Andritxol comes from an old defence tower from the 16th century, a symbol of resistance and cultural heritage. This historical inspiration is reflected in the names of their wines, each telling a part of Mallorca’s rich history. The winery has become a beacon for wine lovers, producing wines recognised for their native grape varieties such as Prensal Blanc, Giró Ros, Manto Negro and Callet.
Currently, Cap Andritxol produces around 100,000 litres of wine, 55% of which are white and rosé, and the rest red. Its six different wines—two whites, one rosé and three reds—are the result of separate vinification processes and careful blending, guaranteeing an unmatched food and wine experience. Working together with local producers, the winery continues to innovate and learn, cementing its reputation as a must-visit destination for food and wine tourism in Mallorca.
