Located in the magnificent Tramuntana Nature Reserve, Castell Miquel is a haven for wine and nature lovers. Founded by Prof. Dr Michael Popp, this winery brings a passion for the art of winemaking together with the natural environment, offering a spectacular mountainside experience. The history of Castell Miquel is intertwined with ancient legends, such as that of the angel who advised a farmer to plant vines in these lands. Over the years, the winery has faced challenges such as the phylloxera blight, but it has been given new life thanks to the vision of Prof. Dr Michael Popp, who discovered and revitalised this place in the 1990s.
Today, Castell Miquel is a true Eden, with its prime location on the slopes of the Tramuntana mountain range. The grapes, hand-picked and handled with the most advanced winery technology, are used to make wines with a robust tannin structure and exquisite flavours, ranging from vanilla to blackcurrant and fresh fig.
These wines bear the ‘Vi de la Terra Mallorca’ quality seal. Castell Miquel boasts a terrace with breathtaking views of peaks and hills, where visitors can enjoy the harmony of nature. Each bottle of wine is exceptional, taking wine lovers on a ‘Stairway to Heaven’ to sensory delight.
