At Km 11 on the main road to Formentera, Ses Clotades Rural grows fruit, vegetables and olives on a 3-hectare estate. A venture that unites tradition and sustainability with direct selling and delivery to local restaurants.
Santi Marí runs Ses Clotades Rural, an organic farm in Migjorn that supplies fresh fruit and vegetables to restaurants on the island. They grow tomatoes, aubergines, peppers, melons, watermelons and, more recently, fruit trees such as apricots, lemons and exotic varieties such as yuzu and lychee.
Produce is grown on fertile soil with well water, natural fertiliser and no chemicals. The objective is clear: tasty, healthy and sustainable food. They've brought back traditional varieties and prioritise direct contact with those who value local produce. A way of understanding the land that also helps to protect the island’s landscape.
