With over 100 stalls inside and a bustling outdoor market three days a week, it has a whole lot to offer: fruit, vegetables, meat, fish and baked goods, as well as flowers, clothing and live animals. Located in the Pere Garau neighbourhood, this market is one of the longest-standing and most vibrant markets in Palma. With a surface area of 1000 m² and a wide range of stalls, this is the perfect place for anyone looking for freshness, quality and friendly service. The market is filled with bakeries, delis, fishmongers and butchers, together with bars and ready-made food stalls, capturing the feel of a traditional market.
One of its main attractions is the outdoor market held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with more stalls selling fruit, vegetables, flowers, live animals, as well as a wide range of clothing and accessories. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, the outdoor area becomes a lively multicultural market, filled with stalls selling clothing, shoes and various other items.
Mercat de Pere Garau opens its doors from 6am, with varied opening hours depending on the day. On Mondays and Wednesdays it closes at 2:30pm, staying open a little later on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays until 3pm. On Saturdays, it closes at 4pm, meaning you can enjoy the market until well into the afternoon.
