The Most Authentic Ibiza: Local Produce and Art at Mercat de Forada
Every Saturday, from 10am to 4pm, Mercat de Forada becomes a gathering place where local producers, artisans and artists share their work with locals and visitors. Located at the Can Tixedó crossroads, in the most authentic part of Ibiza, this market offers seasonal fruit and vegetables, honey, oil, natural cosmetics and handmade items from the island. With live music, workshops and a vibrant atmosphere, this is the ideal place to connect with the most genuine side of Ibiza.
Mercat de Forada is a community space where tradition and modernity come together. Here, you can find organic and local produce, from freshly harvested fruit and vegetables to honey, spirits, wine and oil made on the island. There are also stalls selling handicrafts, natural cosmetics and original handmade creations.
The market’s atmosphere is one of its main attractions. Throughout the year, the market puts on recycling workshops, cooking demos, storytelling and live music shows. In the children’s area, the little ones can play and explore their surroundings, while the adults can enjoy a vegan paella or a coffee at Can Tixedó Art Café.
