Santa Cecilia

Saint Cecilia: Committed to the Land and Menorcan Flavour

In Ferreries, Santa Cecilia combines traditional cheesemaking with sustainable and regenerative farming. Made using raw milk from the native Vermella Menorquina breed of cattle, their DOP Mahón-Menorca cheeses are exceptional thanks to their artisan process and commitment to biodiversity. They also produce organic sausages and honey, offering products that respect the environment and capture the real Menorca.

Santa Cecilia Lloc Menorca is much more than just a farm estate; it is a beacon of sustainability and tradition in Menorca. Since 2020, this farm has been committed to organic and self-sufficient production, spanning across 100 hectares of cultivated fields and forests managed under regenerative principles.

Their speciality is DOP Mahón-Menorca cheese, made using raw milk from Vermella Menorquina cows, a breed native to the island. These cheeses are matured in a process involving regular turning and brushing with organic olive oil, achieving a unique flavour and aroma.

As well as cheese, the farm makes organic pork sausages and honey, available in local markets such as those in Es Mercadal and Ferreries. Santa Cecilia is also part of GOB Menorca's Agricultural Stewardship programme, reinforcing its commitment to environmental conservation and the survival of Menorca's farming industry.

Every Santa Cecilia product is an example of the rich cheesemaking tradition and respect for the land that defines Menorca.
